Eimear Leahy

I moved to Dublin in 2013 from a small, rural village in the west of Ireland to pursue a love of literature. Here, I studied at the University of Dublin and during my studies I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work in the States, bringing kids out to the Appalachian to experience nature in its rawest form (I hope you’re not scared of bears!). This is where I discovered how much I genuinely love to teach and how rewarding it is to guide people through new and exciting adventures.

After graduating from university, I moved to the south of Italy where I fell in love with the beaches, architecture and, of course, the panzarotti! I ended up teaching English there for four years, working as a senior teacher and an examiner, where I developed teacher training, curriculum design and even did some English film dubbing!

I’m a big fan of Irish literature, particularly the young playwrights that have emerged over the last few years - my favourite is Martin McDonagh (check him out!). Other than this, I enjoy cooking, jogging and rewatching Coen Brothers films.
